The house is situated halfway between the village of Fortuna and Banos de Fortuna and is ideally situated to serve as a B&B having the swimming pool, gym, bar with full size snooker table and dart board. Alternately, it would easily accommodate two families.
The spa baths at the Banos are a popular visitor center as the baths are heated year round to 35 degrees by natural spring water and attract people all year. The village of Fortuna is well serviced with three good supermarkets, schools, banks, garages and several shops, bars and restaurants.
Fortuna is situated on the edge of the Pillar National Park.
Locally we have good English and German as well as Spanish restaurants within easy walking distance. The village center is 3 minutes by car or about twenty minutes walk as is the Banos.
There will shortly be other shops opening nearby within easy walking distance.
We are 45 minutes from both Alicante and Murcia airports which makes for easy commuting with the U.K.
The coast at Torrevieja and Guardamar are 35/40 minutes away and the nearest golf course is15 minutes away although two golf courses are planned for Fortuna.
There is a small English comunity in and around Fortuna which is useful if help is needed at any time.
The area around Fortuna is mostly lemon, orange and olive groves with almond trees coming a close second. The wine growing region of Pinoso & Jumilla are about 30 & 45 minutes away respectively although there are plenty of bodega’s within a few minutes.
The area immediately around the house is a mixture of housing, lemon, orange and olive groves.
